Wow! Seriously?

Hidden how? Like 15c mode, 16c mode, changing modes in the keyboard?

When BruceH said "the beginning of April" he probably meant April 1st...

I read that comment as well but was not sure if it was said in jest?

Good news if it is true though Smile

Specific details were not discussed, however he did mention a possibility of having a USB-C port, plus additional functions (new to Finance models). And although not discussed there, much faster and much more memory are likely as well and these just come with modern platforms.

A video of this presentation will be available at hpcalc's YT page in a couple weeks.
Good day sirs! Really appreciate you flagging this - I stumbled upon this forum seeking an answer to the same question as in original post. Found that video - some notes below:

- Moravia are working on a 'premium' or 'ultimate' (name as yet to be determined) enhanced version of 12c
- Motivating factor is ICs (meaning integrated circuits? forgive my ignorance) for 12c platinum are already at end-of-life - some inventory left in the market but they're looking to have a successor in place for the benefit of their portfolio
- Features they may add (though as of yet no final decisions made) include USB-C, dot-matrix display instead of seven-segment, possibly rechargeable
- Will start work on it early 2024 and it'll be available late 2024
- Will not be any new functions - maybe a slight difference in user experience.

And a question from my side if anyone cares to speculate - if HP-12c platinum ICs are at end of life does that mean 12c platinum as we know it will never be available again once stock in the channel is gone? Or likely to come back in the future with new ICs?

thanks

RE: Future 12C Models?
Why all the "hidden stuff". Why not come out with a new model just called "Voyager" that ships with 12C, 15C, and 16C overlays and documented, manufacturer supported mode switching.

It seems we are about 90% of the way there at this point...

My Collection: 55, 67T, 25PLP, 34C, 15C, 16C, 41CV, 41CX, 41-CL, DM41X, DM42, 42S, 48G, 71B, 75C, 95LX, HP-150, Portable+, HP-86, Integral PC.

RE: Future 12C Models?
How about enhacing the 12C by adding GSB and RTN commands (I can live with line numbers). Adding numeric labels (LBL 0, though LBL 9, and LBL .0 through LBL .9) would be a BONUS!

How about it MORAVIA???

This brings up an interesting conundrum, since the Platinum uses different LCD segments than the other Voyager models.

The 15C and 16C modes would use the Platinum LCD segments, of which I have never been a fan...
