Hi all.

Has anyone ported programs from TI’s book to an HP programmable?
Yeah, I figure some of the larger programs needed a CV, CX, or 41 with extra memory modules.

Which TI's Books are you referring to?
Those of the TI-58/59 modules?
Those published by Texas Instruments?
For my TI-58C emulator which can be used in AOS but also in RPN, I transposed certain programs from AOS to RPN.
This is not necessarily complex for small programs on small machines (TI-57, HP-25, HP-55, etc.) if the capacities in terms of number of steps and registers are comparable.
The most difficult is with HP machines supporting alphanumeric (HP-41C, HP-42S) and specific extensions (TIME, X-functions...).
From TI-59 to HP-41C it is possible but not the other way around.

I suspect he's talking about TI's "Scientific Calculator Sourcebook," 5½"x8¼" and ½" thick, ©1977 and 1981.  It looks like it has a load of good stuff in it, explained well, but I must admit that although I've had mine for years, probably decades, I can't remember where I got it (maybe a yard sale?) and I've hardly opened it.

No, there is actually a "Sourcebook for Programmable Calculators". Overpriced example:

It's a very meaty book with lots of programs for the 59 and 58. Alas the format is rather large and unwieldy, and printed very close to the spine margin, so I don't have a good setup to scan it myself.

I have a 1978 hardcover edition. I think I only tackled a music program years ago.

Unfortunately you can't download the entire book but you can (virtually) borrow it for a certain amont of time for online reading. I should have had this book 45 years ago...

You don't need to register if you use one of the "slower" download links in the list.

When I tried to download this, it gets blocked by my security s/w (Norton) as malicious and automatically removed. I tried multiple download servers, but all appeared to be from the same source; all were blocked.

Possibly a false-positive, but I suggest caution with this PDF file, scan it once downloaded.

I'm surprised at the responses - so many people never heard of it. I had a copy back in the day, and since have acquired a couple more. I had both a 59 and a 67 back then, so I was probably more aware of TI happenings than someone who was just HP.

I've ported a few over the years. ANOVA for the 67 was a fairly recent one. Never made an attempt to port them all though.

When I got my Ti59 while still at school I probably didn't read english well enough yet... But I had a book in german "Hans Heinrich Gloistehn: Programmieren von Taschenrechnern 3." with similar content. I can't remember that I used it much, the original manual contained all I needed and the examples in those books never coincided with my requirements. I never bought that kind of book again, for no calculator and no programming language.
