Wanted PIL-Box

The creator/manufacturer of the HI-IL to USB adapter called a PIL-Box is saying he is out of stock and will not be making any more for some time.

Does anyone have a spare or one that they are not using they can sell me?

I'm also looking for the following equipment:

82161A HP-IL Digital Cassette Drive
82162A HP-IL Printer
82164A HP-IL RS-232 Interface or Firmware Specialist
Any HP-IL Video Interface (HP, Mountain, PAC, etc.)
9114B HP-IL 3 1/5" Floppy Disk Drive
3468A/B HP-IL DMM
HP-IL Display from CMT

JF Garnier just informed me he will produce next. Place an order of 2 or 3 to him?.
If you need to rent a box: I am in Germany and you could get one till your box is coming (no selling; renting a pilbox is becoming a business case .. ;-).

So, you see, JF will need time. Its not "will not be making any more for some time" as announced but he will contact you again when he is ready again to produce.

So, order (I suggest more than 1 for having a spare), then wait. And ask regularly the status of your order.

I am waiting approx 9 months and its fine. Hopefully in this case it will be in for you acceptable time.

The reason I posted on here is that I have an immediate need rather than waiting an unspecified amount of time.

I couldn't find the cost on his website also. How do I order it?

If JF is willing to sell you the parts as a kit, I can assemble it for you. I did that for my last one. There will be extra cost for postage as I am in Australia.

Thank you for your offer.

The issue was he said it would be several months before he has any more units.

I was hoping someone on here had either an extra one or were not using the one they have.

If it doesn't have surface mount components I can build it myself.

I don't even know how much it costs. I couldn't find that on his website.

The last time I bought one was about a year ago, I bought the PIL-IO board with PIL-Box firmware, that was 45Euro +postage. A PIL-Box board would be a bit more as it has the UART added.

With the plastic box and the UART-to-USB interface, my guess would be to double that price.
