Compact Flash capacity - Omnibook 425
I do have an Omnibook 425 which I would like to use with large capacity Compact Flash card. I use a 2GB CF card in my HP 200LX using the Acecard driver. Does anybody have experience using large CF with the Omnibook 425? Is it [/u]possible to use the Acecard driver on the Omnibook 425?
Thanks in advance. |

RE: Compact Flash capacity - Omnibook 425
I can only speak to my experience with the 300 (which I believe is very similar to the 425, but with a 386 instead of a 486). The 300 is very fussy about which cards it will take, quite a bit more so than the 200LX. The best I've been able to do are a handful of 256 MB SanDisk CF cards in PCMCIA adapters, and even then, it's not all revisions of their 256 MB card that work. The 128 MB cards seem slightly more forgiving. Note that I'm running a system card 1.1 image written to a linear flash PCMCIA card. I think that's the system card version used in the 425, in which case card compatibility ought to be the same.
