HP 48GX Insights Program Disk
Does anyone know if this disk is still available. I can't find Larkin Publications other than a UK site. So I don't know if there still in business.
"HP 48GX Insights Part II Programs Disk". William Wickes

RE: HP 48GX Insights Program Disk
Hi,

I doubt that this disk is still released.

Anyway, you can find all the books of William C. Wickes here : https://literature.hpcalc.org/#author:Wi....%20Wickes

Some programs related to these books can be found here : https://www.hpcalc.org/search.php?query=wickes

Hope it helps.

RE: HP 48GX Insights Program Disk
I see the Disk for Volume 1 in the hpcalc archives, but not the disk for Volume II.

Eric should now have a backup copy for the archive. The README file for DISK2 begins as follows:

Code:

HP 48 INSIGHTS II PROGRAM DISK

                         Version 2.0   August 20, 1992

This disk contains all of the named programs listed in HP 48 Insights
Part II, plus many unnamed example programs, equations and data
arrays. Each of these is contained in a separate ASCII file, named as
described below, and may be loaded into the HP 48 using the Kermit
file transfer protocol and a serial cable.  The files may also be
viewed or modified with any text editor.  Files from chapters 14-17
are contained in the disk directory CHP14-17; the remainder are in the
directory CHP18-21.  In addition to the individual ASCII files, the
     disk contains binary files named PART2, CHP14, CHP15, CHP16, CHP17,
     CHP18, CHP19, CHP20, CHP21.  PART2 is a directory object containing
all of the programs and examples from the disk.  Transferring this
object into the HP 48 using Kermit binary mode loads all of the disk
objects in a single operation; the total HP 48 memory size is 20714.
The PART2 directory contains subdirectories CHP15 - CHP21, each of
which contains the objects from the corresponding chapter.  Within
each subdirectory, the objects appear in the VAR menu in the same
order as they occur in the book.  The separate chapter subdirectories
are also provided on the disk.

RE: HP 48GX Insights Program Disk
And if anyone here wishes to have a vhs copy of William Wickes 'Learning About The HP 48', let me know and I'll run a copy for you. It's available on youtube sure, but I tracked down one of of the original video tapes a short while back and still use my vcr to watch plenty of shows.
