Request for V41 Emulator

Hi Everyone,

I use the V41 emulator for testing/use it's the best hp41-emu hands down. I've tried many utilities but failed to encoded 400+
lines of text code properly into a .raw file then back again to txt. Some of these tools are just to old and difficult to use for our computers.

Can we please..... have V41 encoder/decoder .raw to .txt implemented, we have greated trust in your abilities.

use a text editor then upload the raw file into V41; the raw file was created with "rpncomp --raw-output OUTPUT.TXT" or the other way with this rpncomp. Or use hp41uc https://sourceforge.net/projects/hp41uc/
= workaround and no change of V41 necessary.

Have you tried SwissMicros' DM42 Programming tool?

This is intended (clearly) for the DM42, however the 42S dialect of FOCAL is pretty close to the 41's original dialect, and it's possible it will work for you. Since you can simply paste the text source in, it's easy to give it try, so probably worth checking out.

I've had good results with Swiss Micros tools for their DM41 calculator to convert between text and raw format. https://dm41.swissmicros.com/
Although it was created for the DM41 it also works for the DM41X.

No matter which converter you use, the handling of the 41 specific special characters varies and may require some manual editing to to replace the special characters with ASCII characters per the individual converter's documentation.

I used DM42 Programming tool which has some special characters for hp41. I re-encoded my text file like Craig said, which is a real pain to do so twice. At the moment DM41 tool does not accept plain .txt files. I thought this to be a bit strange. Swiss Micros will needs to add this when they change programming tool for dm41x. You shouldn't need to re-encoded special characters in. All these borrow third party tools are a messy business to uses.

Did you try copying and pasting the text into the "Program Code" section window and clicking on "Encode to Dump"?
