Just Curious
Hi all,
If anyone knows, just curious what this device does for the 97. It looks like it is a Scientec Calculator Interface. cheers Tony |

RE: Just Curious
I am not sure but it may be related to the HP-97S model.

RE: Just Curious
Oh I see, it looks like the device allows the 97 pictured to be used like a 97S.
The rear cable is likely soldered to the bus expansion connector on the CPU board. cheers Tony |

RE: Just Curious
I disagree, it's not a true 97S - note that the label on it says "97" and not "97S", so it's more likely some kind of DIY (back then called home-built) equivalent of a 97S, that brings a bunch of internal signals out into the box which has a connector of the back to connect to... whatever.
It's been listed for a few weeks with a steadily declining price, and although I am curious about it, I'm not $200+ curious, as it looks like it's had a tough life and would need much TLC to get it fully working only then to have no idea how to check the interface. --Bob Prosperi |

RE: Just Curious
I believe the manufacturer is still in business.
Maybe they would have some documentation? -J |
