Ward Christensen (XMODEM) dies at 78
I read today that Ward Christensen has died, aged 78.

He started the first BBS (in 1978), and originally wrote XMODEM, as used for serial comms in HP calculators e.g. 48, 50g.

Safe home, Ward! Those of us who spent any time "waiting for an initial NAK" appreciate what you started.
