New release for Android 11+
Hi,
Just a quick message to tell you that new releases of go15c, go41c, go41cx, go41cxt and go71b are on the google store and are now compatible with android 11 (edit was 13) and upward ... New mechanism to import/export files for go41cx, go41cxt and go71b. - At the first launch the app ask for a permission to use a dir somewhere on your phone (in internal memory or sd-card) ... you can navigate as you wish and can create a specific dir (ie. go41cx, go41cxt or go71b). - Then this dir will be used with 'import/export' entry menu in the config. - With the 'files' app of android you could then populate and back-up datas. For go15c, you need to have somewhere on your phone the 15c.obj file. - At first launch navigate to choose the file/dir. - Then quit the app. - Relaunch the app. - Then maintain 'ON' key of the 15 to turn it on ... you should get the display on (with or without Pr Error message). RE: New release for Android 13+
GREAT news to have go71b back, thanks for this update!!
Are there docs anywhere describing the ROM format used, and other pertinent details? --Bob Prosperi |

RE: New release for Android 13+
Some outdated docs at Link
Roms are raw files, same for life files. "on kitkat device, import/export directory is now /Android/data/o2s.emul.hp71b/files/... instead of /go71b/... on the sdcard. " now the import/export is what you choose at first launch (can be changed .. Action/Reset import dir) |

RE: New release for Android 13+
Thanks for your quick reply!
I've created my own folder, can access that etc, but where are the bundled ROMs (btw thanks for including JPC and Forth ROMs) located, or does it know how to access these ROMs from some dedicated place, but also load user-supplied ROMs from the new user-defined folder? --Bob Prosperi |

RE: New release for Android 13+
For other roms, you are on your own ... you can start of course at Link
Then put them in the import dir, in go71b, use 'import' the you should see them - State files are xxx.71b - Print files are xxx.txt - Raw files are xxx.raw - Lex files are xxx.l71 - Ram files are xxx.ram - Rom files are xxx.rom |

RE: New release for Android 13+
I got them, 41cx on my Android 11 phone and 14 tablet and 15c on the tablet. But why make the new minimum Android version so high? Now they are still not downloadable for lower Android versions, although I saved the apk's so I can reinstall if required.

GO41CX no longer available at googleplay store
2024.10.20 - 10:00
Good day Mr Oliver and fans. I had bought the GO41CX version, which gave me great great pleasure. I own one Huawei P30Pro, EMUI version 12.0.0, Custom version VDF.PT 12.0.0.2.(CT.F01) Vodafone Portugal. Suddenly, yesterday, I stopped having access to everything on my phone, had to do a hard reset, everything new, and when going to Google PlayStore to install GO41CX, it no longer appears to be installed. Going to manage my apps and looking for GO41CX, states «not available for device». Downloaded the APK version, tried to install, nothing, even when I state that I take responsability for whatever, the phone does not allow to install the APK. Tried the «Total Commander» and it states that on «Google play store request, they stopped allowing to install that version»... I'm totally stuck... lost... I really really loved that app. Is there any patch that you could do, or deos anyone has knowledge on how to install this app? For sure, I'm not the only one that this misfortunate happened, or? Thank you so much for all the attention and time |

Quote:Tried the «Total Commander» and it states that on «Google play store request, they stopped allowing to install that version»... Try the file manager that came with your firmware. Otherwise there is a companian app for Total Commander to install files, and there is an downloadable Total Commander apk that still supports installing apk's on https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.p...b852820358 , but you will still need some app to install it (if the built-in file manager doesn't work try a fallback to adb on a computer). |
