What are people doing when the custom menu is full? (HP-42s/DM42)
The CUSTOM menu has 3 x 6 or 18 slots. I use it for shortcuts to the date/time functions and various small helpful programs I have. It is has been full for a while now.
I was thinking of trying to create some menus with a menu, by making a program that will display a menu of some of these functions. I'm running into trouble with this approach as I can't seem to do Code: KEY 1 XEQ DATE which returns "Label Not Found". I guess this is because it is a built-in function rather than a program label. Suggestions appreciated. |

I use different custum-menus for different tasks e.g.:
Code:
or Code:
My calculators - former: CBM PR100, HP41CV, HP11C, HP28S - current: HP48G, HP35S, Prime, DM41X, DM42, HP12C |

Ah that's an interesting approach, didn't think of that.
So these programs - do they just sit in a long list of programs that you scroll through after pressing XEQ to change it? Or do you put it in the custom menu itself? |

Mostly in this way because the names have the same start and are one after the other in the xeq menu. I also use custom-menus for my own programs e.g. a menu for games etc. My calculators - former: CBM PR100, HP41CV, HP11C, HP28S - current: HP48G, HP35S, Prime, DM41X, DM42, HP12C |
