TULIP Dev Board Case and Connector Shell
Hi,
I made a simple tray for the TULIP Dev Board main board and protective shell for the connector board. My table is a mess and I do not like the idea of shorting the main board accidentally. Feel free to download and print it. The connector shell is glued together with a dab of superglue. This design can serve as base for the final TULIP board case. Download it from Printables.com Karel |

Double awesome! Nice design that friction fits around the PCB.

Lol!
That was fast! Guys, I have just updated the stl file for bottom part of the shell. I made the opening a bit bigger for inserting the connector in the calculator more easily. Please, download the Shell_Bottom.stl again. K. |

Hi Karel,
This is really cool. Now I have to find a friend with a 3D printer. Would you mind if I put a link to the design on the TULIP GitHub? With credits of course. [edit: typo] Regards, Meindert |

Here is mine. Printed by my nephew Sander, who had the smart idea to try to match the colour with the [SHIFT] key

RE: TULIP Dev Board Case and Connector Shell
For anyone interested. I have made modifications to my calculator stand design to be able to store a Tulip Dev Board within the stand. You have access to the USB port and the IR Diode so the board can be used in this configuration if there is no need to probe I/O pins, etc.
This model can be downloaded on printables: https://www.printables.com/model/1075383...oard-stand My Collection: 55, 67T, 25PLP, 34C, 15C, 16C, 41CV, 41CX, 41-CL, DM41X, DM42, 42S, 48G, 71B, 75C, 95LX, HP-150, Portable+, HP-86, Integral PC. |

It's a very nice and robust design. Did you build a custom ribbon cable? What is the length? The one specified in the BOM from Digikey is a tight fit. Cheers, Craig Try CC41! |

RE: TULIP Dev Board Case and Connector Shell
I used a ribbon cable that is twice the original length.

And about the cable length: take the warning in the original MLDL article (PPC Journal V9N3) serious: Don't try to compete with Ma Bell. And they mention 18 inches without any problems. RE: TULIP Dev Board Case and Connector Shell
Here is my “interpretation” of the Tulip41 DevBoard.
I have soldered the contacts on the module connector to the underside so that I have a clear view of the plugged-in module. The case itself has openings at the top and bottom to allow access to the SD card and the USB port. |
