RE: PX-16C Review
Thanks, nice review!

If I may a little digression: the most elusive model for me has always been the HP 16C - even when compared to the 10C? That little sneaky and useless one cost me the greatest amount of my nerves :-)

Those various PX models are in my sights as well!

Thanks for your kind words!
And that's absolutely fair, haha. I should have added that I wasn't particularly interested on the 10C or the 11C at the moment. From the voyager line I first learned of the 12C, which didn't caught my eye initially mostly because it's very finance-focused, and there were hundreds of versions of it. Then I learned of the 15C, and I got the 15C Collector's Edition. And then I learned of the 16C, which as a programmer instantly tickled my fancy and made me want one.

From what I've seen only the 12C was popular where I live, so I wasn't really aware of these calculators before I started collecting.

Well I guess now I'll spend the afternoon looking at reviews and details of the 10C and potentially join you in your pain of trying to get one : ) (although I assume you got one already!)

You can start here: The HP-10C and the Edsel

Don’t. If you have a 15C you don’t need a 10C.

I did but I wasn’t rational. It was a collecting itch that needed scratching. Probably a medical condition…

Thanks! The fact that there were made for a short period of time definitely makes them a true collector's item, but I don't think it would add a lot to my collection for now (famous last words before compulsively bidding on an ebay auction). I also watched Calculator Culture's video on the differences between 10C, 11C and 15C, btw. Loved to see how it fared against the other scientific models.

I think I suffer from the same medical condition. I have almost 40 calcs in my collection (10 of which are HP), and later today if everything goes according to plan, I'll be picking up a 42S (absolutely redundant considering I have a DM42, and the slightly lesser, but still quite respectable 32SII )

Psychiatric (mental disorder). Or as I say "denial" (The Nile) is just a river in Egypt.

Doc: You don't think reading calculator sites at 3am is just a bit, um, compulsive?
You: No. What's wrong with that?
Doc: You're certifiably nuts.
You: And?
