Hallo Hans!

As I PM you I'm seriously interested too - take me on your list

kind regards
Erwin

one more firmware spin is in planning to add a feature that i personally would really like to have on my FRAM71. however, i want to analyze the feasibility first before i disclose anything about that V600.

If it isn't too late to join the party, please put me down for one 1MB unit.

Thanks,
Chris

With the pre-orders in this thread plus the official list, and not counting PM's, that makes 15 modules. We're halfway there!

I may be interested for one unit, but I would like to have updated information about functionality and cost. Please, if appropriate, send such info to:

a DOT rodriguez AT ieee DOT org

Thank you in advance.

Please disregard idiomatic mistakes.

Hi Andres,

If you're even slightly interested, please add your name to the thread, PRE-ORDER POLL: FRAM71B. Note that there is no obligation to buy but by doing so you will help to trigger the next production run when the number of interested persons reaches 30.

See the above thread for info about new functionality and pricing.

Sh**, two identical ordering lists. Maybe Hans could give us an update of the batch order. This might let us know, how long we have to wait for this masterpiece?

No, the lists are not identical. PRE-ORDER POLL: FRAM71B is the list. The folks putting their names down in this thread started to do so after HHC 2015, before Hans posted the Pre-Order Poll.

We're probably only about half-way there depending on if the criteria is 30 persons or 30 modules.

no worries, gents, i've an eye on both threads. would help if all requests go into the PRE-ORDER POLL: FRAM71B, though.

The resulting LIF_file then can be directly transferred with the ILDoslink device to a HP71 ("COPY :DOSLINK").

Thanks go to Sylvain and Bob for the ROM images. Special thanks to J-F Garnier for the Diag ROM image and many of the EPROM images.

Dave

Hallo,

I fiddle around to prepare my FRAM71B. I have a custom Eprom (64k) with a modified MathROM and the JPC LEX. I want to transfer the MathROM part on my Harddisk using PYILPER and the PILBOX and then back on the FRAM71B. I'm on a MAC so the solutions in this tread are not possible for me. I have the FRAM71B installed and started to config the first steps. So I could not find examples on the board for copying ROM to my hard disc I tried it with the document for ROMCOPY. The SHOWPORT gave me following result:
PHP Code:
0.05   16384  2
1      65536  2
0       4094  0
0.01    4094  0
0.02    4094  0
0.03    4094  0
5      32768  0
I prepared a new LIF-file on my hard disc and tried to transfer the image from the Eprom with
PHP Code:
ROMCOPY :PORT(1TO FILE:HRDIVE1
It ends in an error. It looks like that I misunderstood the syntax in the ROMCOPY document. Are there any helpful hands out there?
The descriptions I found on the board are only in the reverse way, cause the ROMs available for download :-)

Thank you
Erwin

RE: [FRAM71] Pre-Production Batch
Hi Erwin,

Can't you simply copy the MATHROM file from the EPROM to FRAM71B?

ROMCOPY will copy a PORT (IRAM or ROM) to a ROM image file or a ROM image file to an IRAM.

Hi Dave,

Yes when it is possible in such a way - but no idea how to do this. I only want the MATHROM part not the JPCROM from this EPROM. I would prepare the FRAM like Sylvain did it in his post (http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-5068.html) and before copy my MATHROM. Can you give me a hint how to copy this EPROM part in the IRAM like you proposed?

Thanks Erwin

RE: [FRAM71] Pre-Production Batch
Hi Erwin,

Something like: COPY MATHROM:PORT(1) TO :MAIN

Depending on whether or not your MATHROM is protected you might get an error.

Your best bet is to run a Want-To-Buy in the Classified section. The design files for the FRAM71B memory expansion are available so if you can find a 512k "B" version you can extend it, if the parts are still available.

If you don't need memory expansion and are only interested in ROM module emulation, check out the MultiMod.

I'd like a 1MB unit if they're being made. If not, then one 512KB unit.
