It sounds like kindergarten here IMHO. Although it's only mentioned explicitly on top of Classifieds, I immediately understood that the moderator doesn't want ebay links anywhere on his fora. So I wouldn't mind if this whole thread is purged.

It's been like this for a decade and there have been a dozen discussions about it already. I was hoping that the new forum would somewhat relax the rules, but obviously not. hpmuseum.org is the prime (in every sense...) site for HP collectors on the world wide web. eBay on the other side is the prime source for collectible HP calculators. Forcing forum members to use ridiculous George Orwell like "newspeak" whenever mentioning eBay auctions may have been funny ten years ago. Once. But the fun is gone now from this joke. For good jokes, I rather visit one of the millions of funny sites on the web.

Anyway, I won't die utterly unhappy without the information about a crazy offer on ebay. This whole thread carries next to no information worth recording even for next month, so I'd understand the moderator removing it.

I think you must leave it to everybody himself to decide what he considers to be "information worth recording". The museum contains a section "prices and rarity" (somewhat outdated despite some good efforts undertaken over the years) and as mainly a collector I am very much interested in this particular topic. Every information regarding asking prices and actual prices fetched by collectible calculators is worth to look at for me.
