Civil Engineering Spreadsheet. "Matrix Calculation of Structures"
This is a spreadsheet I made because I am a civil engineer student and I needed something like this for the HP Prime. It serves for the "matrix stiffness method" of structural analysis.
I share it because for now there is no programs of structural analysis for the HP Prime, and maybe this spreadsheet could be useful for someone.
It is something I made for myself, that's why is not very elegant and maybe a little disordered.

There are 4 spreadsheets:
1. First for Articulated Structures
2. Second for Reticulated Structures with rigid nodes
3. Third for Structures Mixed, with nodes rigid and articulated
4. Fourth for Gratings when the forces are applied perpendicular to the beams, for example decks

Each spreadsheet calculates the stiffness matrix of the beams, the translation and rotation matrix, and you can assembly the stiffness matrix of the structure. There are instructions of how to use them.

To install the spreadsheet to your calculator you just have to select the three archives of each spreadsheet ( .hpapp, .hpappnote, .hpappprgm) and drag to your calculator in the Hp Connectivity Kit.

Ask me if you have some doubt.

Fernando. A

RE: Civil Engineering Spreadsheet. "Matrix Calculation of Structures"
Hello ,I am a student in Civil Engeeniring and i really need a program that can calculate the stiffness matrix on my Hp Prime , so far this is the only one I found . But I can't put in on the calculator , it doesn't work when I try to send the.hpapp, .hpappnote, .hpappprgm with the Hp Connectivity Kit.
Can you tell me exactly how to send it please ?

1. Unzip the archive in your computer.
2. Connect your Prime to the computer.
3. Open the Hp Connectivity Kit (your calculator must appear there).
4. Select the THREE archives of one of the spreadsheet ( .hpapp, .hpappnote, .hpappprgm)
5. With them selected, drag them INTO YOUR PRIME in the Connectivity Kit (not copy them and paste, just select and move your mouse - you need to make smaller the windows of the connectivity kit)
6. Disconnect the Prime, press the Apps button and it must appear there.

Thanks.
