Oh boy, a size I can actually use!

Just placed order.

Thanks for heads-up Massimo!

It looks great, but I wonder if this is going to finally push HP to give them a legal fight?

I heard in the news this morning the HP lay off 30'000 employees (FYI: last year this number was 50'000!!!) - I think the era of real calculators never will comes again...

Looks good! As displayed on the screen it seems to be a φ-sized machine as the original.
I hope the keyboard is better than on my DM-15CC.

RE: News from Swissmicros!
Excellent news, Massimo.
Grazie tanti!

But for 121 Euros shipped to Portugal, I believe one can find the original HP model in good condition for similar cost.
Still, I'm tempted to go ahead and buy one, just to increase my collection, but to do that I have to deal with my controller (meaning my other half).

On a more positive note, if Swissmicros can do it, why on earth is so hard to get the vapourware 43S hardware built in the same way and cost?

However I'm not sure about the keys labeling quality in the Swissmicro. Does anyone know what method are they using to have the labeling deployed on the keys?

RE: News from Swissmicros!
I'll wait for feedback on how good the buttons are before I order one.
I bought a silver edition one after they anounced the keyboard has become better. And in my opinion this was only marginal.
But maybe this time they managed to get a good keyboard feel. In which case I might be tempted to buy one Smile The buttons of my every day 15c are actually wearing down by now - but still feel very good.

This time I will wait for the 41 (my favourite one!) clone: in the past I already ordered their whole line and more... And we have similar controllers! ;)

I don't really know. Visually it looks good, I don't have any idea about durability.

In the mean time, flash it with the DM-16 firmware and make an overlay.

Dave,

You should be able to convert it to an HP-16, HP12C, or HP-11C.

A 10C or, maybe, even a 41C.

Let's hope not. Michael & co are finding ways to make some interesting stuff.
The real money is in ink cartridges anyway.
