RE: How do you show off your calculators?
Just found these adjustable "plate" display stands on Ebay, and they seem work really well for hand held calculators, and pretty cheap. Even holds the top heavy 19C OK

RE: How do you show off your calculators?
I faintly remember HP-Collection employing similar stands.
Anyway, most of the European forum members will know a great Swedish furniture store providing "Billy". With a little bit of craftsmanship, you can mount its shelves inclined (like you would do for presenting magazines) and glue a stopper profile where you want your calcs to stay (e.g. a small rectangular plastic or aluminum profile you can get in almost any hardware store, cut to length). I chose an inclination of some 30 degrees. Employing one stopper at the lower front edge and a second stopper further up allows for presenting two rows of calcs (e.g. two model families, like Classics and Woodstocks) on one shelf. d:-) (Edited for an additional explanation) |

Regarding the plate stands, in addition to Ebay (and you're right, they are very inexpensive) I have seen them at Hobby Lobby.
(for folks not liking Ebay all that much) Hobby Lobby has them in different sizes too, if you collect other things that might fit them. I've seen some books displayed that way. 2speed HP41CX,int2XMEM+ZEN, HPIL+DEVEL, HPIL+X/IO, I/R, 82143, 82163, 82162 -25,35,45,55,65,67,70,80 |

RE: How do you show off your calculators?
Good "Ikea" Walter,
There are also a few going in gumtree ( a second hand for sale site), however I am stuck with this glass display unit which I made, and as usual I have discovered better ideas to implement now that it is finished. And TASP That 35 was coincidentally the first and closest calc that I grabbed to show stands. |
