bug with user keys

If i define a user key such as

KEY KS_Dot()
BEGIN
RETURN " := ";
END;

about half the time i use it i get the correct characters plus a line of garbage.
Very chinese like glyphs.

It can be a few to a pageful. I can usually delete the junk and not lose the edit
but surely some buffer has overun.

This is certaintly a problem with android prime and maybe with all.
