My HP 48 died :( stuck in recover memory screen
Hello,
My HP 48s is stuck in the memoty recovery mode. It keeps beeping if I press any key. I tried new batteries, several reset (pinhole) and alwaus the same result. There is no much on the web about that issue... Is there a way to save it? Thanks. |

Yeah, I tried the "no" key, but in fact any key is giving me a "beep"
I just tried the short circuit, and it didn't help.. Any other suggestions? Thanks |

Under one of the top rubber foots there are a tiny hole with an "R" beside it where you can put in eg. a paper clip. This will activate a reset-button. Try if that helps...

The only thing to comes to mind now is to try removing the batteries and let the calculator rest for some days to discharge all the capacitors. If that does not work, maybe you will have to send it to service. Good luck. JL |

RE: My HP 48 died :( stuck in recover memory screen
I have resurrected my hp48g a couple of times, after being stuck with the "try to recover memory" message, by pressing all the buttons at the same time with a rigid plastic cover of a sharp pc 1403 I have at home. I'm not sure if it's the fact of pressing all the buttons or something behind the keyboard receives pressure, but the thing is in my case it works.
