I can´t solve Non Linear Systems on my HP Prime

Hello People, I speack very bad English but I´ll try to explain my doubt. Well... I cant solve non linear Systems on my hp Prime. For example... X^2+Sen(y)+W=0.6452Z and another 3 equations that put my system with 4 equations with 4 vars....

When I had my Hp 50G, with the SolveSys program (That I sold cuz the new calculator) I were able to solve those System, but with my NEW HP PRIME... I CANT... Im feeling pain in the College, I'm a studying Civil Engineer in Venezuela (sorry my bad english pls). I hope someone can help me, thx.

Hola Fernando Si, es una gran lástima que aun no implementen el resolvedor de Sistemas de Ecuaciones No Lineales. Por ejm:
{x^2+y=5 ; y^2-x=25}

Además dijeron que una nueva firmware iba a estar lista para Principios de Diciembre 2015... Que mal en serio ... No sé en qué Matemática estarás en la Universidad, pero yo he aprobado Matemática Analítica 5 para Ingeniería Mecatrónica.

Ojalá que los desarrolladores escuchen nuestras "plegarias" y liberen una firmware con un CAS más avanzado y potente

Does the 'Solve' app not do what you want? It's covered on page 259 of the User Guide, here. Note that there are later versions of the User Guide than the link I provided.

Hahahaha gracias man, estoy ya en 8vo Semestre de Ingeniería Civil, los cálculos los presentamos sin calculadoras, todo es mental bro. Soy de Venezuela, en verdad la necesito para resolver sistemas de redes de tuberías muy grandes en Mecánica de los Fluidos y una que otras cosas en la parte estructural. Hay maneras de combinar las ecuaciones del Solve App con la hoja de cálculo, esto potencia demasiado el poder de la calculadora y diría yo que es su mejor cualidad. Sin embargo necesito el solver hahaha.

Ojalá la gente de HP vea que la Prime, no le llega a los talones a la 50g.

Jajaja de nada Oh que bien Ambos estudiamos Ingeniería Oh vaya, pues ya imagino lo duro que debe ser estar sin calculadora en las evaluaciones. Ahh vaya, si ese curso de Mecánica de Fluidos llevan los de Civil Me han dicho que es un curso algo dificil, así que es justificable que reclames que la HP Prime no tenga esa herramienta tan importante para Sistemas de Ecuaciones No Lineales. jajaja Pues yo muy raramente uso el SpreadSheet (Hoja de Calculo) pero bueno, ojalá te las arregles

Por mi parte, yo tuve que hacer Transformadas de Fourier y Transformadas Zeta, sin la ayuda de la HP Prime. En Ing. Mecatrónica, esas dos transformadas se utilizan bastante en el Cálculo de la Corriente Alterna y de Señales y Sistemas Así como DSP (Procesamiento Digital de Señales)

I think In CAS you can solve non linear systems with solve().
You write your equations in brackets {} separate by commas, and then all the variables in brackets and separate by commas.

For example with two equations and two variables in CAS mode:
solve({x^2+y=1,x+5*y=3},{x,y})

I'm studying civil engineer too, and I have solved by this way non linear systems with more than 4 equations and 4 vars.

Hello,

The solver application uses the CAS for systems of 2 or more equations, so if it can not be solved in the Solve app, it most likely can not be solved by the CAS directly either.

If you could post your 4 equations, we could have a look.

SORRY FOR SPEAK SPANISH
Si mal no recuerdo yo pude resolver 5 ecuaciones con 5 incógnitas, para el curso de meca. de fluidos. Lo que hice es utilizar el SOLVER APP, colocar mis ecuaciones, pulsar el botón de Num. (tiene un símbolo de celdas), verificar que reconozca mis incógnitas, asumir o predecir el valor de una incógnita en mi caso podía asumir un caudal en 0.1 - trabajaba el caudal en m3- sin desmarcar la casilla que indica que es una incógnita y luego le doy en Soluc. Lo malo de realizar esto es que algunas veces se reiniciaba cuando volvía a la vista symb. del SOLVER APP para modificar mis ecuaciones además de que en algunos casos no me encontraba respuestas pero esto pasaba cuando el valor que asumí era muy distinto. Lo de distinto es relativo ya que si tenia ecuaciones exponenciales o con funciones trigonométricas si variaba mi valor en 0.1 cambiaba radicalmente mis resultados.
Podría ayudarte si colocas tus ecuaciones podría ayudarte y algo relacionado sobre su aplicación para ayudarte.

You have the best experts here that can have a look into the problem.
This will help everybody, including HP to make the calculator a better machine.
