Interesting serial number
Today I used my HP 82104A card reader.
When I took a look at the serial number I realized it should not be valid: 2057S... 57th week of 1980? What went wrong in those days? Did they forget to switch the year to 1981 and recount the weeks from 01? Responsable manager still in X-Mas holidays? Anybody recognized such a strange thing in the past? Are there also calcs outside with an invalid week? Andi |

RE: Interesting serial number
For your model they used a lunar calendar or 1980 must have been a strange leap year
My HP-82240B printer 3653I50312 is manufactured 1996 in Indonesia. But they don't have an extra christmas week there, 1996 January 1st was a Monday and it was a leap year, thus the printer must have been manufactured at 1996/12/30 or 1996/12/31 based on the gregorian solar calendar. Bernhard That's one small step for a man - one giant leap for mankind. |
