Newbie Needs Help With Install/Update
I am very new to this. I looked everywhere and I cannot find any information anywhere on how to properly install for Windows 10 the hp Prime emulator (virtual calculator), firmware, and connectivity kit. Could you please do a short article on how to install all three components on Windows 10. Also please explain what a the difference between installation files identified as (a) HP_Prime_Virtual_Calculator_2016_10_17.exe (b) HP_Prime_Calculator_Firmware_20160829.zip, and (c) HP_Prime_Connectivity_Kit_20161017.exe.
Here is the link I am referencing: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/ Thank You |

RE: Newbie Needs Help With Install/Update
Go to this website: http://www.hpcalc.org/prime/pc/
It has the CK, Emulator and the latest firmware. NOTE: You install firmware onto the calculator from the CK. I also have Windows 10 and it should all work. |

RE: Newbie Needs Help With Install/Update
Download that file: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/...161017.exe
Double click on it when downloaded and it will run. This will install the conn kit. Download that file: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/calculators/Prime/..._10_17.exe Double click to install it. That will install the windows version. Open the connectivity kit from the start menu. It will appear under and HP directory in there. The connkit will check for updates, and prompt you to download the firmware file. Click ok. It will download it and place where it needs to be. When you connect the calculator, it will prompt you to run the update. It will do its thing, and you are good to go. Most people have 0 problems. If you do, report back here and we can help you fix it. TW Although I work for HP, the views and opinions I post here are my own. |

RE: Newbie Needs Help With Install/Update
There are connectivity problems on some computers with USB 3.0 ports. To be on the safe side, use a USB 2.0 port or USB 3 to USB 2 adapter when installing the firmware.
