NS NOVUS PR Blank Program Form
ALL
I came across a blank program form for the National Semiconductor Novus 4525 PR calculator, BUT, as you can see from the attached {PNG format} file, the resolution is less than desirable. I have most of the artwork for a restored form accomplished and wonder if any members recognize this blank form, or, can decipher the less than legible squiggles. Any help appreciated. RE: NS NOVUS PR Blank Program Form
Title ?
Summary? Programmer ? ? Output? Initialization? Notes Stack Key X Y Z T M? Key X Y Z T M? is my best guess so far. M is the single memory register. But having convolved and sharpened the image it is the least clear of the columns so more a guess. I think the other column markings are just numbers for the step count (1-10, then 20, 30,,,100). It is 40 years since I programmed mine last! |

RE: NS NOVUS PR Blank Program Form
I've filed it away for future use! Last time I tried plugging it in to the mains (10 tears ago?) it was still working. Have to have another look over the holidays. It was the first RPN programmable I ever owned.

That's a big plus. |

Certainly no HP, but then again no HP price tag. I think it cost me £25 in 1976. A HP was a LOT more. Beat the sliderule and 5 figure tables I was using in college up to that point. Although we did have a PDP-11 and a few ASR-33s in the Physics Department for undergraduate use. Great days. After 18 months at Marconi Space and Defence (first job) I could afford the HP-41C. Incidentally, mine is labelled as National Semiconductor on the front, perhaps Novus was an American brand name they used? |

In the States; Novus was the "consumer electronics" brand of National Semiconductor. The only differences that I've seen are in occasionally using different colors of plastic |
