RE: New HP Prime Skins! for FW 11226
Hi, compsystems!
No, it wasn't created with Erwin's, the *.primeskin file was mapped and edited manually using the notepad from windows, and the actual image file was made in Inkscape (100% vectors), then saved as *.png. Spybot. |

RE: HP Prime Skins (Version 2) for FW 11226.
Nice skins! I was able to easily import them into my mac version and they worked flawlessly. One thing I did notice was the approximate symbol on the enter key was missing. However, it still worked when using the blue shift key. Thanks

Looks nice, but I would recommend making the orange much brighter for better contrast. Perhaps either something closer to yellow would make it more legible on darker backgrounds (e.g. black keys)

johnet123 you're right, I totally missed the approximate symbol on the enter key! I apologize... I'll fix it right away...

RE: HP Prime Skins for FW 11226. (Version 3, with 3 different colors)
So I checked the code... I thought I had created a "Skins" folder in your <Documents>/HP Prime/ directory specfically for user skins. I discovered that the code was in there, but commented out (testing time was limited last nov/dec).
In the next version, all you will need to do is drop your skins/images into <Documents>/HP Prime/Skins and have no need to touch the system install directory. Of course you can put them them in the system skins directory instead, but some users might not be able to touch that directory due to lack of admin rights. RE: HP Prime Skins for FW 11226. (Version 3, with 3 different colors)
Hi Tim!
Yes you're right, without admin rights many people won't be able to use these or any other skin, it'll be easier to have a dedicated directory to put them there. Thanks for letting us know it will be available on the next version. Spybot. |

These skins are absolutely amazing! I wish I had your artistic skills.
Did you ever make a Medium Vertical skin? That would be awesome. Jim |

RE: HP Prime Skins for FW 11226. (Version 3, with 3 different colors)
Please let me know when you make a Medium Vertical skin. I think that would be perfect (at least for me). I did try to take your Small Vertical skin, open it up in Photoshop (which I'm not very good with) and enlarge it but it's just not that simple :-)
I have a bit of trouble seeing due to old age (62). A while back, I made some skins for my Prime but all I did was try to enhance the ones that came with the emulator. They're not very good. Yours are amazingly clear. I have no idea how you did that. Thanks again, Jim |

Hello!
Actually I made them because I'm also visually impaired, that's why I made them so clear. Yes of course I'll let you know when I make the medium size skin. Spybot. |

RE: HP Prime Skins for FW 11226. (Version 3, with 3 different colors)
Current skins will work fine. The only new thing is you can now have a "pressed" image if you want. If there is one, it will pull from that for pressed keys on key press.
