Thank you for posting your additional work here, Eddie!
I have updated this listing accordingly.

Also new official HP documentation is available.
It is embedded in the Virtual calculator and in the Connectivity Kit software components released in Revision 100638 from 2016-10-17.
Details in the first post.

Thank you so much, Daniel!
Great work.
Nice "trick" to get the triangle equilateral answer correct by changing the Epsilon setting.
Please keep posting more videos!

Hi everybody,
Just a reminder:

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
First of all, jebem, thanks for your effort! (And also thanks to all the ones that created contributions)

I would like to comment on this.

(04-05-2014 12:38 PM)Joe Horn Wrote:  FYI, my "Prime Wiki" was only created as a very early experiment, and then abandoned. Please don't put much time into it.

Meanwhile, Eddie Shore has created a serious Prime Wiki which we should all contribute to. Unfortunately it hasn't received a lot of attention. It's here:

http://wiki4hp.com/doku.php?id=start

In my opinion, while single contributions are great, scattering them on <a large arbitrary number> of sites is not so practical (indeed an index like the one of jebem is extra useful). Or better saying, surely doing a contribution is helpful for the author, because it is experience for him in exposing certain knowledge, but it does not help much the newcomer that has to search and does not know what to search.

As written, a post like the one of jebem is crucial to raise the value of the single contributions for newcomers, but the disadvantage is that jebem has more work to do. If jebem stops coming here, the index starts to be incomplete. So I wonder if would not be better to do it collaboratively (see wiki). Jebem can still be the main editor, and others can add edits that then jebem can revert.

I do like the wiki of Bruce (and I spent a lot of time on it in the past, and I hope to spend more time on it the future) and to me would not take much time to move the entire resource list in the first post on a wiki4hp article. But then the idea should be that who has new informative resources would edit directly that wiki.

What do you think?

I mean a post like this would be still helpful to point to the wiki and to discuss if the entry XY is valid for the resource list or not, so one can go and edit it if necessary.

Wikis are great, Contribute :)

Hi,
Sorry I have overlooked your post.
I see your point.

I have no reservations if you or anyone else copy my initial post to other external forums or portals and then keep maintaining it as you like.

At this point there are several external information repositories regularly updated by their owners/ contributors. I like all of them and i don't see how could someone convince them to merge it into a single lication.

So, because i enjoy to be here, my vision is to keep using this MoHPC portal as my central point for referrecing external links.
That was my initial motivation to create the initial post.

And i'm not looking to include every single url related to the Prime. As you repeatedly have written, i may not be available at all the times for that job.

Hiwever, this forum is mainly dedicated to list the documentation and tutorials and that kind of information is kind of static.
That said, i keep updating the listing when someone contributes with new materials (see Eddie's or Han's among others contributions examples).

Your signature wiki url is listed in my listing since day one. But it looks outdated when compared with other repositories.

Cheers,
Jose

Hi! This is not needed. Personal contributions on personal spaces are all fine (one can be proud of his work)! Having a central collaborative index, though, may help.

It is, but since it is a wiki, it may also change. We will see.

I plan to explore the prime slowly for problems that do not fit userRPL / newRPL in the port0 memory. Otherwise I need to create a framework that load/unload data from the SD.

For this I will expand and then refactor this: http://www.wiki4hp.com/doku.php?id=prime:start

Wikis are great, Contribute :)

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
Anyone adding links to the list, should edit the original post rather than posting replies....that way, there is only one post to transfer if we do this eventually.

The HP Prime wiki is now here:
http://wiki4hp.com/doku.php?id=prime:start
The Programming section is quite extensive by now.

What had been quoted as the HP Prime wiki was Bruce's general HP calculator wiki, and is http://wiki4hp.com/doku.php?id=start , but this is a link to a general HP calculator wiki. The HP Prime Information link goes to the HP Prime wiki from there.

I'd love to see the contents of this thread moved to the HP Prime wiki, if anyone feels up to it. There are instructions on how to create a new page near the top of this page (where this thread could be copied to and converted to wiki format....the link format is different).
