RE: HP-Prime: Math Tutorials! (updated on 5-April-2014)
I'd like to remind that http://tiplanet.org/hpwiki/ contains useful low-level information about the Prime, unmatched by other wikis
Despite the name, TI-Planet is not locked onto TI calculators; we frown upon fanboyism (TI gets its share of thumbs down where deserved), and the Prime is one of the targets of our online document generator. |

RE: HP-Prime: Math Tutorials! (updated on 5-April-2014)
Thanks Carl, Dale, Eddie, Bruce, Joe, Debrouxl and all others sharing information on the HP Prime.
I have inserted a section Number 12 with all the pointers to the current HP Prime Wiki sites. Concerning the Bruce's Wiki HP Prime page, is it me, or the picture in the following link is not a HP Prime? http://wiki4hp.com/doku.php?id=prime:start Jose Mesquita RadioMuseum.org member |

Indeed. That page was copied and pasted from another page, and only the very beginning was updated for the Prime.

The wiki refers to Prime's language as "HP-BASIC" and "HP-Basic". HP-Basic (not all caps) was the name of the language introduced with the HP-39. The language on the Prime is called HP PPL (HP Prime Programming Language) and is technically not the same language as HP-Basic (although they're compatible). There is no such thing as HP-BASIC. |

RE: HP-Prime: Math Tutorials! (updated on 6-April-2014)
Thanks, GRK.
But I just collected the others people information links in a single post, so it should be easier to find for MoHPC users. The hard work belongs to the people that spent the time to create that documentation for us to consume! That is why this thread is somewhat organized/indexed by the name of the document's creator - in this way, the credits go to the right people every time someone browse it! RE: HP-Prime: Math Tutorials!
Hi Jose,
The Statistics Lesson Plans on the Prime Graphing Calculator | HP® Official Site (1.4 on the list) are very useful in learning how to use the Statistics and Inference apps. Unfortunately the .pdf's are crippled by cryptic references to the Prime keys. In search for the Rosetta Stone to decrypt these I found the site of the book 'The Practice of Statistics for the AP Exam' from which the unspoiled .pdf's can be downloaded (as one .zip file, which also happens to contain all datasets for the examples!). You can download the file from this page: http://bcs.whfreeman.com/tps5e/default.a...__929328__. Maybe someone can give HP a hint to update their pages (also the German ones) with these files. Another find during my search was the (unfinished) English translation of the excellent French 'TUTORIAUX HP Prime' by Mickaël Nicotera (2.1 on the list) which can be found on this German HP webpage. Click on UNTERRICHTSMATERIAL and then on 'Download PDF' next to 'HP Prime Exercise Book'. Unfortunately in this file too the references to the Prime keys are cryptic, but if you read the translation next to the French original you will understand. Also you could use my cross-reference (attachment). Hans |
