No worries. Thank you for the pointing out my obvious grammatical errors. I shall correct them now. Updated PDF is posted. I also tried to clear up the language of a few sentences and made sure all my font sizes are consistent.

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
The Prime calculator seems to be a mature product after all these years in the market.

Therefore the associated documentation available in several formats looks to be pretty much comprehensive despite being out of date in many cases.
I would say that's normal these days on any software product evolving faster than the human capacity to document in detail every single feature.

Anyhow, contributors are allways welcome to post here additional links to new sources of information to be updated in the initial post.

Thank you for the updated version of your contributions, Eddie!
I am sure it is helpful to anyone using this HP Prime calculator.
I noticed that I missed a few of your latest posts, but I believe this index is up to date now (better late than never).

Latest Prime Docs. RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
Hello:

I've worked through this thread and would just like to check on where to access the latest Prime Documentation?
(there's a lot in this thread, but I cannot tell if I'm getting 'the latest')

My Prime-mary interests are programming and a 'AUR' (ala the HP48 series) - if such doc exists.

Thank you,
TomC

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
Hello Tom,
I believe Bob has answered this question in your other thread.

The FTP site may not always allow to browse it's contents. I believe Tim mentioned some years ago that the FTP site could go unresponsive on interactive accesses, so the hp connectivity kit should be used instead.
I keep using the FTP site and from my side of the planet and it allows me to browse and download content as usual. Occasionally it gives me a blank page when browsing but a browser refresh usually fix it.

Hi Eddie.
I've just unboxed a G2, not in a hurry (I would say, it's a like "hp fan" hobby ;-)).
There is a big backlog to read here, wow.
A steep learning curve is waiting for me ;-)
I even don't know how to upgrade the system, I saw nothing special during the first connection on the mac.
I can also bookmark your blog, seems interesting, thank you.

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
Hi,
I would like to know....

1- How to begin "from zero" with Python on Prime ?
There is no "python" reference in the officiel pdf.
Where to start ? something to install, to configure ?
I checked also here "HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials"
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-818.html ).

2- Scrolling speed in the text editor on the physical Prime , is there a way to speed up key repetitition ?
Scrolling through text is too slow, it's about 5 repetitions per second.

thanks,

1. Have you taken a look the beta notes? https://www.hpcalc.org/prime/beta/betanotes.zip

2. Why not just use the touchscreen?

1. I'll wait the official firmware. In the meantime I know Python scripting can be run between #cas tags. It seams 'everybody' knows it, but it's not documented.

2. Of course I could use the touchscreen, nonetheless I think it's not always convenient for me for text editing. I still don't know if the direction keys repetition is configurable. There is a kind of repetition acceleration when you keep pushing the arrow key some seconds. I would like a little faster movement without waiting.

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
Re Python syntax in CAS
Parisse describes it briefly in this thread:
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-11354.html
That also includes a link to more documentation (in French or English) - although that additional documentation is for Khicas, so the HP Prime implementation may not be exactly the same.

An example of its use in code:
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-96...=Benchmark

RE: HP-Prime: Documentation & Tutorials
Did you guys stumbled upon the official Python app on this latest firmware update?
Will the calculator now run python apps without other modification. I cant find any info when I press the Help key in the Python app.
