RE: HP-92 Simulation Attempt
Hi all,

Some Bond/Yield progress finally.

The attached image shows the discounted yield example from the HP92 Investor Applications and on the left is the printout from the HP92 simulator.

Hopefully the rest of the functionality will fall into place easily now.

cheers

Tony

That's a shame, but the 91 is still a good score.

The HP-91 ROM code is available http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-8611.html

I got a friendly offer for the HP-92, but it is impractical far away from here and shipping is too risky. There still doesn't seem to be a 92 in germany.

That's one small step for a man - one giant leap for mankind.

10/10 for effort though :-)

I'll have a look at the 91 code when I get a chance. An emulator for it will need a new application.

cheers

I thought the HP91 and the microcode might be easy to get going but alas, not to be.

I'm sure I translated the source code properly so it works with my emulator, but even after going through all the possible key codes (0 - 255), only 0,1,5,6,9 of the digit keys work, and not all of the other key functions. Those that do work give the correct results on the display, although the display decoding appears to be a little different than I have seen before.

There also seems to be a similar hardware interface like the HP19c for the two switches, which I haven't figured out yet.

Nothing like a challenge :-)

cheers

Tony
