Happy to say, Willy's 32CE simulator does HP-33E/C's subroutines one better, four levels of subroutines. PLUS, ten flags and DSE/ISG looping to boot!

HP-33 = HP-25 + subroutines

In a larger case.
With the same lack of battery problems.
Plus unsoldered chip issues in some cases.
And a few extra features (better stats).

3 years difference in technology terms then and now. Big stuff in business. We can all be driving high tech Ferraris now at low cost but we cant. Everything evolves for the masses if it makes economic sense.

Ignorant I suppose, but I barely knew what a subroutine was way back then so my calculator of choice just did what I thought I wanted. Lo and behold something new comes about which I can still dream of having - sigh!

You gotta love progress :-)

cheers

Tony

Yeah. I remember that from the HP Digest
31E--HP-21 w. 3 more registers and Last X
32E---HP-45 w. Linear Regression, Normal & Inverse Normal Distribution and a total of 15 registers
HP-37E--HP-80 upgrade

Although not in the storyline, my thinking is the 34 was an HP-29C upgrade.

Yes, it was a (very) small joke; maybe too small. But I do like the way you replied!
