Casio PB-2000C ROM Modules
Hi,
I've finally got enough parts together to attempt a ROM module for my Casio PB-2000C, as mentioned in this thread: http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/...ead=215778 I have the service manual, but there's a few problems: 1. The service manual indicates a pin 46, but Diego mentions a 45 pin connector 2. The exact size of the module and the orientation of the pins isn't in the service manual 3. I was wondering what the CO pin was wired to (pin 44). I've had a go at disassembling the PB2000C but it's not easy to get to the ROM connector and I don't want to damage my one example of this machine. I may create an extender board so I can get a scope onto the pins, there's not a lot of room in that slot. I think you can see where I'm going with this... Diego, would you (or anyone else who's done this) be kind enough to elaborate on your DIY ROM module? Regards Andrew |

RE: Casio PB-2000C ROM Modules
Hi Andrew,
Diego is right with the 45 pins. I assume a oversight in the service manual. You will find some useful information about the PB-2000C hardware at http://www.pisi.com.pl/piotr433/pb2000he.htm like this: Code: 01 - VSS 16 - IO5 31 - A17 The connector of the PB-2000C ROM cards is identical to the "IC ROM cards" for the CASIO Digital Diary series. http://casio.ledudu.com/pockets.asp?lg=eng&serie=810 Calculator Benchmark |
