Basically, the connkit pulls a snapshot of the current state and loads it into an internal representation of that calculator. You are editing those items - not the items on your device. When you hit save, this ALSO sends a new copy to the connected device which overwrites the content.

Ont he toolbox I cant get the catalog to come up the calculator seems to lock up. It will come up but slowly on the emulator! Are there now to many commands and functions lol

Do you have astrolab installed? Some geometry based apps are super slow and we are aware of this and working on it.

This was one of the things I was afraid of with adding user functions to the catalog...

A part of that said Tim, please, control Geometry App: if there are curves (ellipses, hyperbola...), then reset it and try. Catalog should became fast again.
Please, let's know if it is the case.
Otherwise control if you are using other apps based on Geometry...

However the problem is not adding too many functions to the catalog, it seems related to something in Geometry app (they are investigating).

I kept Astrolab, only deinstalled some of its ancillary apps, especially Satellites.
Check also Geometry, however.

Have you checked TestFlight today? The latest version just showed up in mine at 0800h EST 13 Dec, 2017. Woo hoo!

definitely the "HP Prime Pro 1.4.0 (13014) for iOS is ready to test" Smile

After deleting some odd CAS variables (with strange characters) and the old "Explorer apps" (now in the unique Explorer app), all seems to be ok here in iPhone and iPad, obviously with the bugs present in beta 2 and already corrected in beta 3...
I'm looking forward for beta 3, but now it's better than nothing, thanks HP (and Apple)!

I got an update of the HP Prime Pro Beta to version 1.4.0.13270 (2018 01 09) for Android yesterday.
The hang I was experiencing with the previous Beta version seems to be solved as I didn't had any issue so far.

Well the issue is still there. Version 1.4.0 still freezes regularly on my Android 6.0.1 phone and tablet with the keyboard becoming irresponsive.
