CORVALLIS SILICON WAFER
Hi, I'm new here and it is amazing all information i can see around..

And i will start with my first question...

I do have a 4" Silicon wafer ( See photo ) , under microscope it reads:

Hp
Made in USA
Corvallis

The date is not clear, i guess it is from 1986 and an umbrella like logo.

anybody knows more about this ?

Thanks!!!

Just a guess but the layout of the individual dies in four uniform quadrants would suggest a memory device likely a ROM since it was made in Corvallis. Is there any numbers on the die other than the year?

Paul.
