HP41/HP48 Transitions
I just picked a nice copy of the Bill Wickes book "HP 41/HP 48 Transitions." When the book was published, you could write the publisher to get a floppy disc with all of the book's programs on it.
Does anyone have or know where I can get a copy of those programs? John |

RE: HP41/HP48 Transitions
I can only congratulate you on your choice. Every book by Bill Wickes has
given me countless hours of pure enjoyment. Here are all the programs from the original floppy disk accompanying "HP-41/HP-48 Transitions". In the root folder you will find one file for each program, but you should be aware that several file names do not correspond to the variable names used inside the HP-48, because some characters either are non-ASCII, like \->, or cannot be used in MS-DOS filenames, like ?. For this reason the subdirectory BINARY is provided, which holds a single ready-to-use HP-48 directory object containing all the programs in an appropriate tree structure. Since Eric Rechlin recently uploaded to his site the programs from one of Bill Wickes' other great books ("HP-48 Insights I"), I assume that there are no legal problems here. |

RE: HP41/HP48 Transitions
Ciao Giancarlo,
I just tried it again, no problem here. Besides, the file has been downloaded 30 times already. So I guess the problem is on your side. If it doesn't work for you, just leave me a PM with your e-mail address. |
