You need some force. Try this instructions: http://www.hpmuseum.org/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/...ead=151125 Bernhard That's one small step for a man - one giant leap for mankind. |

RE: HP33C Rear cover
I would comment that an old credit card or thin plastic is less damaging than a knife blade. Picking a plastic that is softer than the cover also reduces damage to the edges.

The tool degrades fast, but that is the point: you don't dent or scratch the unit you are repairing. My previous order was something like this one here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REPAIR-TOOL-K...Sw0wRaEDc2 Jose Mesquita RadioMuseum.org member |

RE: HP33C Rear cover
Thanks for all the advice I finally used a bit more force with and slowly managed to separate the front edge with the aide of a plastic card. I have managed to glue the damaged case back together with superglue gel as I could not contact the guy who is making the the 3D prints. I would prefer to replace with a 3D print or old spare so I will keep looking. The HP33C has an interesting history it was used by my Father to analyse data from the MINI roundabouts he invented back in the 1970's whilst working as a government scientist.

Your best bet is for someone here to offer up a bottom case from their spare parts bin or look for a donor on eBay. |
