Ah! thanks; I misread that originally, to mean sending out modules, not sending out emails…

RE: [FRAM71B] 3rd Batch Announcement
I can't find a price. What is it? And shipping? I would go for the smaller-capacity one. If the price is low enough, I might go for two, one for each of my 71's.

Details are in the 1st post of this thread. Act quick though as all units may be allocated, or if not, gone soon.

RE: [FRAM71B] 3rd Batch Announcement
It's hard to tell how to register interest in purchasing a FRAM71 at this point. Am I supposed to send an email? To what address? I'm interested in a base 512KB version. My apologies if I'm missing something obvious.

Regards,
Howard

The price for the 512k module is 245 euros including shipping, according to the email I received. You should PM Hans ASAP before all the modules are gone. I ordered mine yesterday.

RE: [FRAM71B] 3rd Batch Announcement
Oh joy!!!

Seen from a global POW I live down the road from Hans, so I received my (first ever) FRAM this morning.

guess what I have been doing since then....

I am so impressed & delighted with this community enabling me to play and learn as much about the TITAN as my brain can handle.

Hans, J-F, Bob, Dave, Sylvain (Compendium) and others - Thank You!

BTW - I cleaned up the old Baker files from history past - 6 or 7 chapters on LEX. OCR’ed, and new searchable PDF. Let me know if you want a copy here or what the correct way is.

Indeed, the FRAM71B is somewhat of a master-key for unlocking all the 71B can do. Across the pond here, we will have a long wait to receive ours....

If the John Baker PDF will fit, I'd say yes please, post it here; if not then it's probably best to post a link to access the file from OneDrive, gDrive, DropBox, etc. as most 71B fans will want to see it too. Thanks very much for making that and offering it here! Smile

RE: [FRAM71B] 3rd Batch Announcement
Hi Hans,

The note accompanying the module says the firmware is V607. My old module is V600.

What changed? Can/should the older modules be upgraded? Can you release the programming file for the FPGA?

Thanks,
Dave

EDIT: Oops, my bad.

RE: [FRAM71B] 3rd Batch Announcement
all FRAM71B should have V607, checksum B84B, so no need to update.
V600: is first to use Config Area to select TOP/BOT FRAM.
V607: changes CN2:1 to only switch F_0x0, F_0x1, F_0X2 between TOP and BOT FRAM (vs. switching entire TOP/BOT FRAM).
intermediate versions did not go public.

The wait is killing me. 2 weeks and the tracking indicates it may not have even left Europe. Anyone else waiting for a FRAM71b in Australia ?
