Thanks!

@rrpalma: As Thomas mentioned you're already listed. I use to update post #1 occasionally to keep track of new orders. Please notify if I forget doing that.

Merci, Peter. I've updated the list in post #1.

BTW, by an interesting side effect of forum mechanics, the picture of the manual vanished from said post. Here it is again:

Just looked at the thread: I've got the picture as usual! Curiouser and curiouser.

I'd like to order an additional copy of the WP34S manual, please. A friend of mine has seen the calculator and (naturally enough!) would like to own one.

Oh what the heck. I'll take another as a spare, ie. total of 2. That should bring it to twenty.

Cheers,
Erik

RE: [WP 34S v3.3] Manuals batch 2
To all who have contributed to creating the WP 34S,

I am a devoted calculator user since the early 1970’s since I discovered my father’s SR-51. I learned about the WP 34S a couple of weeks ago on the HP Prime forum and downloaded a manual (edition 3.1). It seemed too good to be true, such a well-designed machine with such a high-quality documentation. I received my first WP 34S a few days ago from Eric Rechlin at hpcalc.org, a professionally done modification of the HP-30b.

I have to say I am completely amazed by the WP 34S. It does so many things right, the way a hand-held calculator should work. LIke high precision and performance, intelligent power and memory management, and good keyboard design (both color and placement) in a lightweight package, for starters. In addition, local variables in programs, creative and intelligent use of the display, and so many useful functions. I was pleased to discover it has 16 digit precision (the highest floating point precision of any calculator I know of) but then I was completely blown away by the 34 digit double precision mode. Together with the NEIGHB and ULP functions, this makes it the perfect machine for calculating on ill-conditioned problems.

I am looking forward to using it as my main calculator.

Peter

Hi. As my first WP 34s is almost complete (just waiting for the keyboard overlay) I'd like to request one too.

RE: [WP 34S v3.3] Manuals batch 2, final call
Thankyou. We've obviously passed the threshold. Smile

I doubt we can achieve that once more within reasonable time though. So I won't collect any further orders after this batch.* Thus, anybody who's just thinking about obtaining one - please think thoroughly: this will be your last chance to get a spiral bound WP 34S manual. If we'd pass the number we've reached with batch 1, I will reduce the price accordingly. That means if there will be >28 orders, each manual will be only 25€ or 34US$, respectively. Just food for thought.

d:-)

* I'll then transmit the material to the printer who made the v3.2 manuals. So you can order manuals one at a time and get approximately the same dimensions but what is called "perfect bound" (although it's significantly below perfection for that purpose IMHO).

Walter, sir:

I would like a printed WP-34S manual. Please increment your request count.

Walter,

please add me on the List as well. I am based in germany and running a wp34s for more than a year now, but for the sake of completeness I think I need such a manual too :-)

Thanks and regards
Ralf

Is it still possible to order a WP 31S manual, or is this now only available direct from the printer?

RE: [WP 34S v3.3] Manuals batch 2
After watching some HHC2014 videos and meeting Geoff Quickfall, I just returned the "Concise History of RPN Scientific Pocket Computing" (present in v3.2) into the v3.3 manual by public demand. Extended reformatting became necessary: e.g. on the page showing the entire timeline of HP's RPN scientifics, the smallest font is 7 points now to get it on a single small page still. Overall manual size grew to 374 pages in that course. These additional six pages will be included free of charge in batch 2.
