contact the curator: Page Not Found!
In the thread Convergents of a Continued Fraction another link (50G) Fast Continued Fractions was broken which lead to:
Page Not Found!

However the link contact the curator leads to the same error.
Thus we can not really contact the curator in case of a problem.

Meanwhile I fixed the broken link in my post.
But you might still want to fix the other link.

RE: contact the curator: Page Not Found!
In the case of the former, the link simply had an extra trailing ")" character.

In the case of the latter, where do you see the broken 'contact the curator' link?

The 'Contact us' link in the bottom left of every page seems to work fine.

RE: contact the curator: Page Not Found!
Does this link work for you?
https://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/contact.htm

It leads to a page containing the following HTML:
PHP Code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<
html lang="en">
<
head>
<
meta charset="UTF-8">
<
meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<
link rel="stylesheet" href="/pages.css" type="text/css">
  <
title>Error</title>
</
head>
<
body>

<
div class="single">

  <
h1>Page Not Found!</h1>

  <
ul>
    <
li>If you just clicked on a link in the museumplease <a href="contact.htm">contact the curator</a> and tell him how you got here.
    </
li>

    <
li>If you got this error in response to an URL you typedplease check your spelling.</li>

    <
li>If you go this error when to trying to access the museum via an external web pageplease report the error to the author of that page.</li>
  </
ul>

  <
p>You can use your browser's back button to return to the previous page or you can:</p>

  <p><a href="/"><img src="/gto.gif" width="39" height="34" class="nav" alt=""> Go to the museum'
s main exhibit hall</a><br>
  </
p>
</
div>
</
body>

</
html

The "contact the curator" link leads to the same URL.

The page looks something like this:

Page Not Found!
» If you just clicked on a link in the museum, please contact the curator and tell him how you got here.
» If you got this error in response to an URL you typed, please check your spelling.
» If you go this error when to trying to access the museum via an external web page, please report the error to the author of that page.

You can use your browser's back button to return to the previous page or you can:

RE: contact the curator: Page Not Found!
OK, now I get it, you mean the link right on the error page.

That link is bad, as the correct link is "https://www.hpmuseum.org/contact.htm" without "/forum" in the middle. This probably changed when Dave was updating the site's format/style over the past 2 years.

I'm sure he'll see this and fix the url in the 'Page not found' page.

Thanks for reporting this.

But to repeat (in case it was lost in the noise) the "Contact us" at the bottom left of every page does work properly.
