Connectivity Kit 7820 crash!!
Hi, today I updated my HP PRIME (with 50xx firmware) to the new firmware 7820. When I connect the prime the Connectivity Kit works, I am able to right click > properties/preferences. But when I click to expand the menu it crashs.
I tryed to reinstall it a lot of times, in another computer, reinstall firmware, with windows 8 x64 and windows 7 x86 Anybody with the same problem? I tryed to downgrade the firmware to 6975 but don't work, the firmware installation run ok, but firmware still the 7820. is there a way to downgrade? |

Have you tried to uninstall the CK in Windows, download it from the FTP site and reinstall it?

RE: Connectivity Kit 7820 crash!!
I had the same problem (see http://www.hpmuseum.org/forum/thread-3884.html).
It appeared to be a problem with the ntdll.dll file. I finally fixed it by downloading the Prime CK in VMWare Virtual Machine running Windows 7 32-bit. The problem went away and when I ran the CK on my regular OS (Windows 7 64-bit), the problem was corrected. I don't know how that fixed the problem though. |

Try resetting your Prime. I ran into a similar situation and tried uninstall, reinstall, etc. numerous times and then reset the Prime. Then, voilà, all has been well since.
