Calculate Euler's number by limit-function
When calculating the following limit in CAS mode
\( \lim_{x \rightarrow \infty}(1+\frac{1}{x})^x = e = 2.71828...\) the Prime gives "1" as result (which is wrong) instead of the Euler's number. When doing the same with the 50g there is no problem. Any idea? |

RE: Calculate Euler's number by limit-function
Mine gives "e", perhaps there is something stored in x?

RE: Calculate Euler's number by limit-function
Hi!
My Prime also give 1... I change the setting and always the same response. Marcel |

RE: Calculate Euler's number by limit-function
Hi again!
You have to enter it correctly! Check this image and the prime give "e". Marcel |

RE: Calculate Euler's number by limit-function
It may be due not to enter the whole expression inside the parenthesis, to do it outside is not considered within the limit.

Thanks to all experts here!
Indeed it was the parentheses Regards Maro |

RE: Calculate Euler's number by limit-function
Additional parenthesis around the limit as argument of a power would probably clarify... Or use algebraic input.
